Barbara's latest Wildflower series is a celebration of the beauty and abundance of wildflowers in Barbara’s country of Atnwengerrp in Utopia. Wildflower is inspired by the resurgence of new growth from recent heavy rains. It documents the regeneration of Indigenous wildflowers, which subsequently increases food sources for the community.

Wildflowers emphasizes the importance of natural re-growth, of renewal, rebirth and regeneration of the land. Underneath and incorporated into the foreground are Barbara’s ceremonial body paint designs used in Awelye (women’s ceremony), acknowledging the importance of culture.
